Art Info: Ladies One is the first series of original graphic designs about women also known as ‘ladies’... The images represent love between women and love for ladies.
The beauty in women inspired me to create this collection. Ladies are amazing creatures – strong, independent and deeply loving. The series represent lesbian ladies and focuses on some of the following aspects:
- Love between women (whether it be friends, family, colleagues, etc)
- Love between ladies (lesbian love in relationships and marriage)
- Beauty in the female body and soul
- Being labelled as a ‘Lady’ or Lesbian
- Living under the rainbow – homosexual branding (both positive and negative aspects of being branded as gay)
- The depth of the female emotion
- The reflection of ourselves in others
- Ladies hiding being ‘in love’ when in public places
The images were created / painted as posters using design programs.
