Can you really tell the difference between a natural-born girl and a transgender? Really? Are you absolutely sure? Take this test to find out.

A friend (who happens to be a fabulous and beautiful transgender woman – Christina Engela) forwarded this to me today. And I thought it is something worth sharing. I’d love to see how you girls score on this test. It certainly had me baffled.

In each of the following photos, try to guess which person is a natural-born girl and which is transgender. There are 6 pairs. Look closely, then pick left or right to identify the transgender person. These photos were originally from Missladyboys.com.

Okay, so if you can't tell the difference, what makes people think that transgender people should be treated any differently to anybody else? What makes them think that a transgender woman isn't a woman? Can you say? I can't - and obviously neither could you.

I am a trans women and am by no means nearly as beautiful as any of the girls in the pictures. Does that make me any less of a woman than what they are. Does beauty make you women? if that is the case then a very large proportion of our society would not be women.

Accept me for who I am not for what you expect me to be.

Dear Caroline,

It is in no way meant to be a sleight against transgender girls who are supposedly "less beautiful" than the very lucky girls in the pictures. Believe me, I wish I could be that pretty myself!

The point I was trying to make is that people who judge us think they can spot us easily - and particularly in the case of the transphobes I guess - they think "sure they can" because if they can't tell a woman from what they think is "obviously a guy" then it somehow in their minds makes them less of a "man".

The patriarchal societal mindset, I guess.

Most ordinary straight guys do not even expect transgender women to be remotely passable, let alone beautiful - it also serves as an eye-opener to them.

i suppose it is a tragic feature of human nature that people tend to accept something - or someone far easier if they are physically beautiful - and sometimes this can work to our group advantage.

That definately does not make you less of a woman. I'm a natural-born woman, and I am not as beautiful as these girls either. And that doesn't make me or you less of a woman. To me, being a woman, is who I am on the inside. And to me, the iside is what makes women beautiful.

I actually guessed that they were all transgender.

I will definately say they are good looking though, very pretty.

I dated someone that I never knew was transgender. No different from any other woman and way more interesting. People have mental blocks about this issue. Some people are just born in the wrong skin and need to change it.
