MCQP is around the corner - 20 December (NEXT WEEKEND!)
The stage is set for the most glamorous event of 2008. Lights, Camera, Action! is about to take Cape Town by storm as we showcase the greatest and most ambitious event yet.
Lights, Camera, Action! launches its very own 'Universal Studios' set, Harrington Street precinct, right in the beautiful city bowl. Boasting 5 separate "Studio Floors", Closed Street Concert Area, "Pimp my Pride" VIP area, Hollywood style red carpet treatment on arrival, Qnews TV crew, all the paparazzi attention you'd think your a Lohan and lets not forget about the all-round star entertainment you’ve growing to expect from us.
For those of you who haven't bought tickets for the biggest party of the year, you better hurry. Tickets are R250 and available from www.webtickets.co.za and at most of the clubs in the pink villiage. I can't wait (I bought my ticket ages ago already). Now the only question is, what to wear? Any suggestions? ;-)

SUMMER COCKTAIL SPECIAL
2 of the same cocktails from our menu for the price of 1, every day between 5pm & 8pm. What better way to unwind after work and miss the traffic by sitting on the Terrace at the Loft, enjoying the magnificent view of Table Mountain, sipping a fabulous cocktail.
THE BOND AMBITION
Just when you thought it was safe to go out on a Sunday night and just when you thought you could mince no more, the BOND AMBITION explodes on to Cape Town’s Pink Block. A slinky, saucy cocktail of Madonna meets M, our Bond Girls have a Licence to Thrill. The BOND AMBITION is drag for the 21st Century and features a new combo of drag artistes performing as a unit for the fist time in Cape Town. Madonnes is one of the infamous Lemming Sisters, who were one of the most exciting drag trios to emerge out of Southern Africa in the Nineties. She is joined by her partner in crime, the exotic Celeste de Trump. Victoria Caballaire, star of stage and screen, completes this trailblazing trinity of temptresses. The BOND AMBITION will be performed for one night only at the Loft Lounge & Bar, in the heart of the Mother City’s Pink Block on Sunday 14th December, at 9.30pm. This is a free performance so give yourself a Christmas treat.

ZOLISWA TRIAL FINALLY BEGINS
The trial of the men accused of murdering lesbian teenager Zoliswa Nkonyane has finally begun. Almost three years after witnessing the brutal murder of her friend, Phindiswa Magxala finally testified in the Khayelitsha Regional Court on Friday. I took off from work to go to the trail in Khayelitsha last week. It's an experience that made me realise how lucky and privileged I am to be able to live my life openly. And it reminded me that there is still a long battle that we'll have to fight for equality.

QWELANE TO FACE EQUALITY COURT
Great news! Jon Qwelane, the writer behind the infamous homophobic Sunday Sun article, is to be taken to the Equality Court, by the South African Human Rights Commission (HRC). This was announced at the 3rd protest in South Africa on this issue, organised by the newly formed South African Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (SA GLAAD).
Some of you have joined us for the first protest on this issue that was organised by Cape Town Pride outside Media 24 earlier this year, and many of you have written letters of complaint on this issue. Well done to the team involved in behind the scenes work! And thanks to all those who supported this action.
