The Dykumentary
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=113893109897
"Out in Africa" Gay & Lesbian Festival.
Show Times @ The V&A Waterfront
CT:14 Sept. 2009 (8:30pm) & 16 Sept.2009 (6:15pm)
The dykumentary is a mockumentary based on lesbian Stereo types from A to Z, every letter in the alphabet is a character. It is totally fictional, over the top and based on the various social, economic and cultural circles of the lesbians in South Africa. It is shot documentary style with interviews off and on camera. Each Character is interviewed in their everyday environment, be it at work, their place of recreation, home or in their social life.
The characters are completely based on stereo types and by over exaggerating the characters we can laugh at ourselves. The Film is most definitely roaring entertainment for dykes, fags and breeders alike.
Be assured if the eye candy doesn’t leave you recklessly wet, the grim ones will seductively entertain your nightmares. Either way something or someone is going to have you screaming for more…
Feel free to celebrate with the directors at Kink on Tuesday the 15th September

Cape Town Lesbians Features This Week
Self-worth and being gay
Self-worth is something everybody struggles with and being gay makes it that much more difficult. The hate-speech and homophobic slurs are all part of the tools used to chip away at our already frail perception of ourselves.
