Beautiful Kitty Looking For Loving Home

I’m looking for a loving home for my beautiful, part-long-haired, 4-year-old cat called Egypt (female, spayed). Sadly, I can’t keep looking after her because I’m always having to travel at short notice. Egypt is fully house trained (doesn’t scratch the furniture, litter box trained, etc) although she prefers to spend the majority of her time outside, so she needs a place where she can be out and about. She is very good-natured and has never scratched or bitten anyone. She is friendly and loves being stroked. She’s used to children (although she doesn’t like being handled or played with roughly), and she’s also been used to sharing her home with other cats and dogs.

Egypt comes with her litter tray, a bagful of those special cat litter crystals, a month’s worth of food, and a carry-box.

If someone out there can give Egypt a good, loving home, please, please get in touch. I live in Diep River if you’d like to meet Egypt before making up your mind. Email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or call 072 7431362. Thanks!

October is breast cancer awareness month and to honour this, we’re hosting the VERSES VS. CANCER CHARITY SESSION. Breast cancer is a leading cancer faced by South African women with one in 29 women diagnosed each year.

All the artists at this session will be performing pro bono and the door takings are going to an enormously worthy cause – 2 sisters in Athlone are suffering from advanced breast cancer and are in dire need of funds to help fight this disease. Come and offer them your support!

The featured artists, doing their bit to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer are: Chad Saaiman, Claire Phillips, JP & The All Elements Band, Blaq Pearl, Perspectif, Dianne Ferrus, Khadija Heeger and Shimmy Isaacs.

Cape Town Lesbians Features This Week

Own your own stuff
Recent events have shown me that there is hope – regarding the measurement of growth.

We all learn a lesson (especially Jan Moir)
Jan Moir’s article on the death of Boyzone star Stephen Gately entitled “A strange, lonely and troubling death...” got the gays and liberals a’ buzzing with technological rage

Fear & Loathing In Uganda
On Friday, news came to me that I didn’t like to see. What was it, you may wonder? It seems that a year after Uganda passed a new law to make criminals out of gay people, they are debating an upgrade to this law that will give them far greater power over the private lives of their own people, including the authority to murder people simply for who they are.

P.S. anyone can write for Cape Town Lesbians. And I'm always looking for more articles and more writers. If you're interested, drop me an e-mail ;-)
