he Creative Cape Town Clusters Forum meets again on 4 November from 17h00 at the Woolworths Head Office, Longmarket Street (behind City Hall). As always we have three great talks followed by networking with creative industry peers fueled by Woolworths foods and wines. This month all four of our speakers could be called creative entrepreneurs - individuals with a drive to move their creative talents forward and who do so with a strong entrepreneurial flair.
First up is Guto Bussab - a photographer, filmmaker and director of TheMutiGallery, Muti Films and Muti Photography who speak about his multidisciplinary practice. Guto also shot the fashion shoot for Creative Cape Town Annual – some of the images were used again in the Explore Creative Cape Town map. Ricky Lee Gordon runs Word-Of-Art, an edgy young Creative Agency, who put together Creative Cape Town’s Loeries activation of Long Street. He also drives the non-profit Write on Africa. He tells us about his practise and his work on the Loeries project. Graphic designers Mark Henning and Hannah Williams talk about their self-motivated initiative to map transport routes in Cape Town - a labor of love which has seen them produce the first ever map of informal taxi routes of the city.
Free Parking can be found on Grand Parade and in Darling Street with security provided by the CCID.
